While I am far from being a 100% environmentally-friendly mom, I do try to do what I can to do my part. Whether it's buying non-toxic cleaning materials to recycling - every little bit helps. So, I'm always on the lookout for products that help me become a more responsible consumer.

I was browsing Target one day (which happens a lot), I came across this cute notebook ($3). I fell in love with the colors (think shabby chic garden). What's special about this notebook is what it's made from or rather what it's not made from. The notebook, from Mara-Mi is made from 100% stone. You can feel the difference immediately - the paper has a super soft texture and doesn't tear easily. In fact, it tears similar to a disposable vinyl tablecloth - it's super durable. I love the way the pen writes on it, too. And the cute design is very cherry and bright, which helps when you're writing your "to-do" lists...if only it would make completing the list easier.

Need a cute gift? Check out Gartner Studios (distributor), for lots of other great finds.

When I started researching for this blog, I knew I wanted a look that portrayed my personality and what the blog was about, while still maintaining a clean look. While there are lots of nice designs out there, I couldn't find anything that really fit. After weeks of searching, I found the cutest blog designer, Lindsey and her design service, appropriately called Pretty Darn Cute Design.

The name pretty much sums up her work. I can't say enough about her! She sent me a questionnaire about what things I liked, didn't like, my style - basically what I was envisioning. Within a few days not only did she come up with my way cute logo, but the blog template as well. I consider myself a pretty picky person, when it comes to design elements, and she was super patient with all of my little requests. Check out her portfolio here.

I highly recommend her for all of your design/blog needs! If you are even thinking about creating a blog or redesigning one, give her a buzz and she'll have you on your way in no time (seriously, it was fast)! You won't be sorry! She came up with stuff I would have never thought of! Thanks Lindsey for all of your hard work and patience and of course, your Pretty Darn Cute Design!

Welcome to the pr mom blog! To give you a little introduction - I graduated with a Public Relations degree and love everything about the PR/marketing world! I've worked in the promotions/concert industry as well as major network news. Though, as much as I've enjoyed working, life has taken me on a different road (an even better one) of being a stay-at-home mom.

After much thought, I decided to create this blog. The reason behind it all was because I realized that whatever I would buy, see, eat, or places I would visit - I would basically be doing an internal review of everything. Whether they were good finds or not-so-good ones, I wanted to share it with my friends. In turn, I wanted to share my thoughts and ideas with the companies of the products that I was buying. I wanted both sides to be informed of what we wanted and how to create it. Friends also pointed out that I was rattling off random facts all the time and that I need to have a place to share all of my tidbits I pick up along the way.

And so, here we are! I hope you'll follow along and send in your honest opinions and thoughts. And while I don't get paid to feature specific brands/items, I most certainly welcome your suggestions on anything you think is worth checking out. I'm looking forward to connecting with you all!

NOTE: And please know that since this is my personal blog (and not a real press release) - you'll have to excuse the lack of grammar and punctuation =) I just want to type whatever comes to mind...plus, I don't have the energy to pull out the AP Stylebook while chasing a toddler.
